Precision relief, targeting pain for lasting comfort.

Our Spine/Joint Injections service offers targeted relief for pain and inflammation. Utilizing state-of-the-art injection therapies, our specialists administer precise treatments to alleviate discomfort in both the spine and joints, promoting enhanced mobility and improved quality of life.

Our procedure include:

Facet Injections

Facet injections are used to treat pain in the spine caused by facet joint syndrome. The procedure is typically administered through fluoroscopy, a real-time imaging technique that uses X-rays to guide the placement of a needle into the affected area. A steroid and anesthetic mixture is then injected directly into the painful joints located on either side of the spine, most often in the cervical or lumbar region. The entire procedure typically takes less than 20 minutes and patients can experience relief of pain within a few days of receiving the injection. It is recommended that light activities such as walking and stretching be done after the injection to help promote healing.

Epidural Injections

An epidural injection is a minimally invasive procedure commonly used to treat chronic pain in the neck, back, and lower extremities. The procedure involves injecting anesthetic or corticosteroid medication into the epidural space of the spine, which helps reduce inflammation around the affected nerve roots and relieves pain. A local anesthetic is first administered at the injection site for patient comfort during the procedure. The medication is then injected into the epidural space with a fine needle attached to a syringe. The entire procedure typically takes around 15-30 minutes to complete. Afterwards, minor soreness or bruising may be experienced at the injection site which generally resolves within several days. Depending on the type of epidural injection and the patient’s condition, it can take up to several weeks for the full effects of pain relief to be felt.

Joint Injection (Shoulder, Knee, Hip, etc.)

Joint injections are a type of pain management procedure used to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain in a specific area. The injection is typically composed of anesthetic, corticosteroid, and sometimes hyaluronic acid. It is injected directly into the joint space causing near-instant relief. In most cases, the injection takes less than 10 minutes. After the injection, patients may experience soreness in the area for a few days but should not experience any major side effects. The recovery time is typically two to four days, depending on the type of injection and individual patient. With proper rest and care, most people can return to their normal activities within this time period.
